Each day Mrs Clarke is going to ask somebody different to bring in their favourite book from home to share with the class. Here are some of the ones we have been lucky to share so far:
Harrison brought in 'we are going on a bear hunt'.
He told us he likes it because of the bear and all the mud.
'I like it because it is funny!'
Henry's Pirate Suprise by Justin C H Birch was Kaydons favourite book.
'It's my favourite because I like it. The little pirates poke the burglers with their swords.'
He decided it was a funny book to make you laugh!
Walt Disneys 101 Dalmations and Jungle Book
'I like the book because it is special it has two stories inside. I like all the animals they are really nice. I like it because it is a happy story'.
Cain brought in his special book from home. He told us about the combine harvester collecting the corn and that the baby animals are really cute! Farm - bright baby.
Josh brought in Mog the forgetful cat by Judith Kerr. He told us it has his favourite part in. He let us look at the page with the dog and told us the dog wants to get the cat. I like it because it is funny the peas all dropped on the floor.
Harry and the Dinosaurs first sleepover by Ian Whybrow and Adrian Reynolds
This is my favourite book because it's my me book. I like page because they are having fun in the bath. They are having loads of fun and squirting water.
A Christmas Suprise for Uncle Scrooge
'I like reading it because there is loads of funny pages. Sometimes it makes me happy.
There's a master and a bad one because he says something bad to the penguins and the master gets very angry.'
Star Wars - The Yoda Chronicles
'I like it because it is my favourite and Yoda is dressed in a funny t-shirt he is a little guy. There is a yellow bit at the top and a red but at the bottom. My favourite part is when the baddies make a Jek, he is a baddy that then turns into a goodie'.
Thomas & Friends - Thomas, Percy and the Squeak
'I brought it in because I like it. I like it when Thomas has a squeaky carriage. The lady says aah just because there was mice. It is a funny book'.
Whoops! But it wasn't me and My wobbly teeth must not ever fall out by Lauren Child
'I like them because they are rely funny and they make me laugh and make me happy. I really like when the tooth falls out because my tooth fell out too!'
We all really enjoyed listening to Miss Ardly-Forder as she read us her favourite book.
Amanda's Butterfly by Nick Butterworth.
We were all very pleased Amanda didn't use the nail and hammer to fix the poor fairies wing!
The Pirate Cruncher by Jonny Duddle
'This is my favourite book because it has pirates! There is a scary monster that eats the Pirates I like that part best! It has special pages that all unfold and you see there you can the gold, if you look down there into the water you can see treasure a sunken ship. The octopus doesn't eat the parrot because he doesn't like them - he's allergic!'
Zog and the Flying Doctors by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
'I really like this book because it is happy and helpful. Zog and the doctors make everybody better like mermaids and rabbits. My favourite bit is when Zog crashes into the window but he doesn't get better!'
Mine craft Combet Handbook
Ralphy turned the pages so we could see the pictures in his book. He pointed to his friends to ask questions about his book. Ralphy answered the questions like 'what is your favourite bit?' by showing us the pages in his book.
Flip-o-Saudis by Sara Ball
'I really like it because you can flip all of the pages to make different dinosaurs. But not the bottom one because it's glued on! It's my favourite because it's got t-Rex. It's very exciting!'
Dispicable Me 2017
'This is my favourite book because it's got Minnion cars on. My friends come round and see it'.
Topsy and Tim go to the park by Jean and Gareth Adamson
'It's my favourite because it's got a swing. I like it because they are happy. I like to read to my Mummy at bed time.'
