A Special Visitor - Ho, Ho, Ho!

As a whole school we had collected together to celebrate the achievers for this week. Miss Stannard was doing a fab job taking assembly when she was interrupted by the sound of bells!
Our faces were a picture of excitement when a very special man with a long white beard and red suit walked into the hall!

We were very pleased to see him but we couldn't believe our luck when we saw his massive pile of presents!!!!!! We sang him a funny song from the donkeys point of view in the nativity as a thank you.

We all thanked him as we collected the gifts for our class.

And then Mrs Christmas herself won a special achievers for wearing a different Christmas outfit for the whole of December!!

Merry Christmas everybody x

Road Safety Talk

Mike, Bethany and Bengamin bear came to talk to us about road safety.

We talked about staying safe when we walk beside a road:

Hold an adults hand - from Max.
Walk don't run - George suggested.
Ellie said never run away from our parents.
Walk on the inside of the path - Maya said we should not walk on the edge near the road.
If you can use a zebra crossing, traffic lights or a lollipop crossing. Harrison remembered the name of the zebra crossing.
Willow suggested the lollipop crossing and Jaicob said look at the traffic lights.

If we are crossing a road: stop, look and listen!

What can we wear that keeps us special and stand out on the side of the road?

Lewis suggested a safety jacket that's green or yellow and black.
Kayden said it glows in the dark so cars see us.

They help us stand out on the side of the road so cars can see us.

Lewis And Grace dressed Benjamin to make him safe for being beside a road.

Benjamin helped us to listen to all the information:

Bethany asked us how we can be safe in the car?
Ellie told us not to open the window and put our hand out.
Thomas told us to shut the door.
Tommy said we need to wear our seat belts.
Ivy said keep our windows shut.
George said - always be comfortable!
Peter told us to ask Mummy and Daddy before we leave the car and hold their hands.
Annalise said make sure you ask Mummy before opening the door.

Bethany told us never to disturb the driver as if they are looking at us they are not watching the road.

Megan and Peter tried to put Bethany safety in her car seat.
Thomas came to their aid - the second child in Norfolk to ever work out and clip the car seat successfully! Mike and Mrs Clarke were very impressed!
Max and Thomas then learnt how to tighten the straps on the car seat.

Bethany says always wear your seat belt.

Benjamin says always hold hands beside the road.

We had a lovely time meeting Mike, Bethany and Benjamin and learning how to stay safe on the roads.
