China

We tried using chopsticks, looked at money, stamps, clothing and pictures from China.
We all said how much they loved red and that is was their lucky colour.
Peter and Megan were very impressed by their writing and thought it must be very tricky to do.
Willow, Annalise and Maya loved the clothes because of the beautiful colours.
Ellie and Tommy were determined to use the chop sticks!

Traditional Chinese Music

We had lots of fun listening to traditional Chinese music (once Mrs Clarke managed to get the CD player to work!)
We listened to the music and then moved creatively to it.
Once we had an understanding of the rhythm and speed we introduced resources to our dance.
Twist, turn, curl.
Swoop, swing, swoosh.
Shake and shudder.
Fast and slow.
High and low.
Round and round.
Up and down.
Side to side.
Kick!
Ta da!
Concentrating.
Fun!
